Always the same problem with BitDefender, they really have a good product security.

Yeah true, ive got version 9 running which ive had for a while which allows updates no problems, but nothing since seems to have been cracked in the same manner. Webroot is the same. Cheers

The problem with the Rea Team keymaker is that it gives you a licence of 3650 days and their products only have 2 year licences, some up to 5 years. This equals 10 years, "blacklist" it imediately.
Bye

keygen doesnt work for Total Security, says that they are all expired or invalid.
Any ideas?

procedure is ...keygen... update ..keygen restart.. i this is for advance users..no laymans can do.

after updating you will be ban .After that enter another keygen but don't press ok ,instead press X.After that open advanced settings by pressing right click. You will see that big defender will work again.about the updates, just don't update, press right click-that open advanced settings-update-unmark automatic updates-permanently-ok

I'm running on Vista Ultimate, so far everything is working very well with this Bitdefender and i know it will continue too.
All you have to do is install whichever program you want, you get in this BitDefender antivirus, Total security, and internet security. I only chose to install Antivirus so far. After installation, make sure you are OFFLINE for the KEYGEN to WORK. Just install with random keygen and then TURN OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATE by clicking the SETTINGS tab in the lower right hand corner.
This is what i did and everything works great with my ability to go back online quick, easy and protected.
good luck!

all keys for bitdefender TOTAL security dont work, however the keys for internet security do work. i loaded bitdefender internet security 2008 + SERIAL (Full version)zip 39.24 mb added 28 sept 07
Have it for 3 days now, auto update is working fine and over 300 days of subcrition.
!!!! Always scan your incoming files, there are some bitdefender files that contains serious virusses!!!!!
bitdefender internet security is enough to protect your pc, you dont need total security, its almost the same, total has two extra features that you dont need anyway so why search..
cheers

ps im very thankfull for the uploaders, but, when you upload a file that only can update manually and you have to go offline and all that s.h.i.t that isn't gonna work for me, progs got to work like they normally do and not like this upload.
so thank you cazor for your afford, but once i installed something, its gotta work properly and without those things you say you gotta do to make it work...
cheers

I upgraded to Total Security 2008 which works as well as the 10 plus did (as long as I disabled the automatic updates and used the zip file to update), but now to manually update I only have the option of using the weekly.exe file.
My problem is that when using the weekly.exe file for the first time everything went well, but now when using it for the second time I am not sure how to proceed. Tried the option of removing the old file then installing the new one, which resulted in BitDefender saying that I am updated and Windows Vista Security Center saying my AV needs to be updated.
"thedude999" help with using the weekly.exe files systematically?

Once again, tip of the cap to cazor. installed internet security with ease and key has 10 years on it. updated fine (thus far). ill repost if any issues come up.

ok...retract that last comment...updated it again for kicks and giggles and ...........INVALID KEY. still tip of the cap to cazor..his stuff is over all great. i see ppl talking about other ways to update this. how is that achieved?
29.Posted by rsxfreak03 on Dec 08 2007 at 08:23
just took thedude999's advice and that seems to be working great. hopefully it stays that way cuz i love bitdefender. i post too much..haha.
-go to bitdefender.com
-click on downloads
-underneath home/home office click updates
-look for you product then click underneath the exe file column.
thanx thedude999

To manually update BitDefender 2008 (all vesions):
1. Go to http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Desktop-Products-Updates.html
and download the weekly.exe file for your version of BitDefender.
2. Run the weekly.exe file and install the virus definition update.
3. Your BitDefender is now updated!
After a few days when you want to update your BitDefender this is what I do:
1. Run the same weekly.exe file I used to update my BitDefender, and on the setup choose Remove.
2. Download and install the newly released weekly.exe file, and once again your BitDefender is updated!

this is a slighly out dated version of total security. heres complete steps to get up and running with total security.
========
INSTALL
========
1) install total security. it can not be updated cuz their is a new version out so just click on continue unregistered when asked to.
2)go to download.bitdefender.com/windows/desktop/total_security/final/en (this is for english..take off the "en" to get to the lang. selection page)
3)select the exe. file for your system (ie 32b or 64b)
4)after install you will be asked to enter a key again. disconnect from the internet...IF YOU DONT ANY AND EVERY KEY WILL BE REJECTED! run keygen provided, generate a few times and enter key.
5)open bitdefender and immediately turn off auto updates.

=========
UPDATING
=========
1) go to www.bitdefender.com/site/view/desktop-products-update.html
2) click on the exe. file that fits ur product of bitdefender (in this case total security) and your system (ie 32b or 64b). these are weekly virus defintions put out by bitdefender.
3)save file to any location you choose for you will need it in about a week.
4)run file and install.
5)you want to run all of these steps once a week to stay updated. BUT FIRST in order to reinstall new updates u must uninstall the old ones.
6)run the same file u downloaded a week ago and u have the option to repair or uninstall. your answer is uninstall.
7) when complete repeat steps 1-4
ENJOY!!
ps. considering bitdefender won the goal medal for internet security of 2008 i feel this a very small price to pay to have it...

one small correction on above updating list. the link is
www.bitdefender.com/site/view/desktop-products-updates.html

if u keep gettin redirected to the home page just click on "downloads"
on the next page click on "updates" underneath "home/homeoffice" towards the bottom of the page.

Okay I think ive done it.
Just to make sure,
I installed "bitdefender_totalsecurity_2008_32b" but disconnected by internet. I created an account but said it would send the infomation once i connect to the internet. I little popup came saying that i was no longer protected but ignored that and continued to disable automatic updates.
Now I am going to the website
www.bitdefender.com/site/view/desktop-products-updates.html
to download the new updates..
is this all? or is there something ive missed out? and for the updates i just do it weekly?

1. First install BitDefender.
2. Then go to the bottom right corner of your computer and you will see the BitDefender icon.
3. Right click the icon and click on Open Advance Settings.
4. This will take you to the BitDefender main menu.
5. On the left side you will see Update.
6. Click on Update and you should see in bold letters Automatic Update Settings.
7. Click on permanently disable click it.
8. Make sure you are off-line and window will pop up and tell you if you want to buy, free trail, or register.
9. Click register and go back to the file where you store BitDefender.
10. You should see Keygen.exe click on that and copy and paste the serial number to the registration number.
11. Then it will ask you if you want to register for an account click register later.
12. Once the registration is done you can turn your Internet back on.
13. Important do not fix the Update Issue!!!
14. I you do fix the update your key will expire!!!

OK thanks to the uploader
Few Qs
I downloaded Kaspersky and it quarentined / deleted everything so my computer wouldnt boot up so i had to reformat xp again and go back to using f-secure... this was ok for a while but now i noticed that f-secure is just not doing anything there is no system tray icon it doesnt open when i click on it so im looking for a new one i read the reviews and bitdefender was first so how do i know that it wont do what kaspersky did
is this easy to use too or is it really long like NOD32?
Does it use up alot of resources like Norton will it wear down my PC alot?

XD this is just much trouble for me XD im staying with panda XD
51.Posted by DeepMachine on May 06 2008 at 02:41
FOLKS!!!
Here's what all of you are missing. The patch file, that has the instructions, must be opened, and closed by pressing the 'OK' button after the serial has been entered and internet is tuned back ON to do the FINAL update.
I don't know what is the freakin connection of that OK button is to the whole process
, but it works, In fact, if you read the instructions, it clearly tells you to DO IT.

I downloaded bitdefender internet security. First it had a trojen attached to it. I got rid if it. Then I tried keygen, but keys would not work. Tried as many keys as possible.
Any suggestions?

Best Solution :
1. Download NOD32 v3.0.6xx
2. There are 3 fixes for it... manual update ; patch and Username & Password Finder...
3. The Username & Password finder is the best solution for update.
4. Whenever your NOD32 says Key invalid.. just run the username & password finder & it will insert the key automatically
5. Update now n it should be fine...
6. The Top 3 Anti-Virus Softwares are 1. BitDefender , 2.Kaspersky , 3.NOD32
7. Since Bitdefender is giving update Problems kaspersky uses lot of computer resources...i stick to NOD32
54.Posted by lfcrocks on Aug 06 2008 at 11:00
it doesn't giv any update problems(apply patch properly) nor it has any trojans when i had downloaded this torrent i had scanned with esset smart security-3.0.667 business edition(no infection) but i prefer to use bit defender

55.Posted by lfcrocks on Aug 08 2008 at 10:54
1.Run the set up
2.after the set up has finished don't reboot
3.update using trial version
4.after the update is finished turn off internet connection & reboot
5.after that run keygen copy the serial (make sure ur net is off)
6.run the patch.exe press OK
7.reboot & after that update it !!!!!
IT SURELY WORKS
