Team fortress classic, ricochet and Deathmatch classic don't work online, neither does opposing force work online but BlueShift, Half life and Opposing force single player works.

can someone please help me?
i finished downloading and installed Half-Life but i can't start playing because it says something about authentication folder and closes the game.
any help?

thx very mush...it works 100/100 good, also fan of the game you can try the mod pok646...it's very cool
and for gc814 : try to change your graphic card to D3D and the resolution = 1152/864 it work perfect i have the same problem
and just to know half-life included in this torrent is half-life : Source

Everything is fine except this one level in Half-life just after having met the marines for the first time i go up an elevator it goes fine till the loading sign and then....
i cant move my guy i can shoot and everything but i can t move and i slowly start losing health till i die, HELP ME!!

PURPLE-Right on the *****!!-I'm currently stuck on the same elevator and it ****s! Can't go up or down. I have no idea how to get it going again . The file's corrupt and it's too bad as it was fine up until this happened. So, now I have to get a new one and start over. Question is how good are the other ones here or do I need to give Steam $$$ to finish the game. Half Life is too good to just stop in the the middle.

works great in my gamesbox[basically a computer built on free parts running windows 98] but my only problem is that second time i started it up it asked me for a CD key
anyone help?
my rig is good enough for it, p3@504mhz, 768ram, nvidia geforce 5200...[all parts i got for free] and it ran without any other problems[other than cheats not working] and i'de like to play w/o having to reinstall each time :/

i have the same problem number 17 is having this kinda works on my vista but i always get that athentication error thing whenever launching any of these titles

Did anyone get a solution to the Authentication library problem? It just stops working and says that unfortunately. I've tried running in compatability mode XP, still no luck

PLz sum1 Tell us how to fix that daM! AUthentification error thing! on any of the games it loads it sops loading 1/4 or fifth of the way and tells unable to load authentifacation library EXITING...!!!!!! help

you know what
just download this instal it and install another half life game that u know works then just copy and paste the opposing force blue shift and mods into the other directory it works for me but i used up alot of hard drive space

If anyone gets stuck on the elevator up to the surface. All you have to do is jump right before it starts to load so that you're in the air when it loads. I suspected that somehow it loaded you inside the elevator so I tried that and it worked.

Hey... I had the same problem where Gordon cannot move but can still fire the weapons, etc. I discovered by trial & error that by jumping up and down as the elevator rises I can get it to work. This goes for all the similar errors that will happen as you play. There's another too. It's when you are in a garage and you need to jump on a vehicle elevator to get out, it sticks as well. The answer is to jump off the elevator through the hole in the wall before the elevator reaches its max height. In other words, jump up and down as it travels. It really does work.
