Ok,

I downloaded and used this fix ( from another site, but the same files)
and it worked like a charm.

Today, I try to start the game and I get the "please insert the right disc" message.
SO it seems there is still something wrong with this fix.
Anyone have the same problems or an idea how to fix this?

I got it to work fine until the actual campaign starts. I cant see anything but the forground, like the guy talking but no map and play area and I dont know why or how to fix it!! Help please!

Fix worked at first. After a time everything but the foreground gets black. It's ok for a while when I reload the game, but it's hardly playable. I hope they fix this fix soon.

Mine did that as well, but when I fixed the video settings to the lowest level it was playable but didnt look very good. I think that it is my video card, even though its less than a year old! Ive read on many sites that this game is very demanding on the video card. Maybe you need a new one too?

This one works

If it works for a while but then you start getting the CD/DVD message
just remount the img a time or two & close the game menu window & retry untill it boots up.

Ok, I downloaded the CloneCD [torrentzilla.org]
then it didnt work
now I downloaded this FIX
but i dont know what to do with the file...
I have got all the downloaded files in say .../settlers/
what to do with the .dll file?
should i just put it in a new map .../settlers/base/bin and then extract?
or what? Because i dont get it, and it still doesnt work

i did install the game fine, but after i copied and pasted the clone cd fix, all it says now to please insert the CD\DVD and if i update it , it will ask for a cd-key WFT?

guys you don't need to update to play the game. If you update the game you will be requested to submit a cd key..

well... torang, i did install the crack at first but it din't work, so i let it update and tried looking around for a serial or keygen for this game...... to no avail

now what ?

I followed directions as they were posted and installed it. Replaced the dll file and now I get "cld.dll file is missing". WTF? Can someone shed some light over here?

PS.: And no, I did not update it.

ATENCION:
ITS NO a crack. Its a FIX. Work fine if you play whit the image mount in the virtual drive. Use Alcohol 120 or Daemon Tools 4.

this fix worked perfect!! thanks. i was getting the r6002 error. BTW i dont know if it helped but im using daemon tools light up to date. i also went to daemons preferences and turned on all that ****. laserdisc, disclock, rmsm or whatever. either way thanks again!!!
