did not work for me :(

3.Posted by outsidepitch on Nov 21 2007 at 07:11

Nice one :) Installed it on both my WinXP SP2 and Vista machines without a hitch. Thanks!

4.Posted by outsidepitch on Nov 21 2007 at 07:18

Just make sure to copy the contents of the Patch folder into the installation directory -- usually C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil and run patch.exe from inside the install directory. It changes things in some files...and you're good and running without the 5MB limitation.

5.Posted by outsidepitch on Nov 21 2007 at 07:22

Reboot ur machine after patching to get rid of the 5MB notification...

its worked at last! thanks :)

11.Posted by BrandGSX on Jan 15 2008 at 12:44

if some would post a reg key then you dont need the patch and can download the file direct from the makers.

12.Posted by dblaszkowski on Jan 22 2008 at 23:24

:D awesome. works great many thnx be sure to follow outsidepitch's instructions in post 4. :D

13.Posted by mitpianoman on Jan 25 2008 at 23:29

Those that cannot get it to work, I think that's because some of the unpatched BS processes are still running. Use task manager to close bluesoleilcs.exe, bshelpcs.exe, bttray.exe, and btwdns.exe. I'm not sure that all those are necessary but it's better to be sure. Run the patch, then start bttray.exe or restart your computer.

15.Posted by Mi-do on Feb 04 2008 at 11:52

Hey, folks, it works very nicely for me but could you answer me something?
If I'm trying to transfer a bigger file, it fails.. or maybe the problem is only in my connection?
And just something that really bugs me, is how could I remove that Bluetooth Places folder from my desktop, does anyone now? It doesn't let me simply move it..
Thanks, anyways ^^

I was having trouble getting the patch to work until I slowed down and read all of the instruction given by outsidepitch and placed the CONTENTS of the patch folder in the program folder and ran it and not the patch folder its self. Thanks this is just what I neaded works great. :)

17.Posted by jordanwarez on Feb 16 2008 at 11:31

20.Posted by Fenton_Beasley on Apr 27 2008 at 18:22

Avast: A Trojan Horse was found - Win32: Poison-Du (trj)

Avoid it like the plague.

21.Posted by Fenton_Beasley on Apr 28 2008 at 10:48

Sorry - no Trojan. Avast's new virus definition update doesn't like uTorrent, that's all.

22.Posted by Siilenced on May 13 2008 at 03:20

Agreed with the ONE ABOVE

Just Ignore when Avast When you DL either Torrent Files

(not the Actual Files but the Trackers ....

and When Opening Utorrent...just Ignore that

Otherwise..

Program works Great for me ...THx Much) :)

great advice on Post 15! if these processes are running the patch will still show 5MB restriction window. Ended all bluesoleil processes, ran patch, and restriction was gone, no reboot required (Vista ultimate)

24.Posted by dwsn_james on Jun 02 2008 at 13:58

sorry guys after days of using now its stop working dont know why?

25.Posted by RoTF on Jun 15 2008 at 02:23

works
you have to copy the patch file to where you installed it, and then run the patch

26.Posted by hobiecatster on Jul 05 2008 at 11:52

27.Posted by poioun on Jul 13 2008 at 12:28

Works no problems. Installation couldn't find the hardware at the beginning but after I reboot, it worked with no problems.

28.Posted by DemonOfRazgriz89 on Jul 14 2008 at 05:34

Installed without a hitch. Just be sure to do like what comment #4 says above and your good to go. :)

** Warning! **

:(

I too suffered the problem mentioned in post #9. I installed this app, ran the patch then rebooted the machine. When it was rebooted I found that not only had all my dialup connections gone (I connect to my DSL through a modem) I was unable to create new connections. Every attempt told me that a connection had been created but it was not added to the network connections dialog.

Now I am no **** when it comes to computers, and there are enough people above that don't seem to have come across this problem, but I can assure you that it exists and it has caused me problems.

For reference, I am running XP Corp (SP3).

The solution? Uninstall the software, once I did I was able to create a connection again (luckily I know my user/pass and the number that should be dialed off by heart).

Ricky.

As a side comment to the above post, just to confirm, the software works absolutely perfectly once installed - including the patch. There are no virus or malware (or at least Avast doesn't report it).

Only the Internet connection thing is causing me to have problems, and considering most would value their Internet over a Bluetooth connection it's a pretty big problem.

I should point out that v6 of the package does *not* have this problem as I d/l'ed that first but got caught out with a 2mb (it seems to have dropped from 5mb in the new version) limit because the dongle I bought was shipping with an unlicensed copy of the BlueSoleil software.

Ricky.

45.Posted by xxkilo on Mar 22 2009 at 21:18

I had the same problem as some of the people above. When installing, I noticed that my connection icons on my system tray were disappearing. Then it suddenly froze for like 10 min so I killed the process. I had to create my network connections again. :| But what's worse, I just noticed that a bunch of my files on my removable hard disk are gone????? don't know if there is a link but it all happened at about the same time. :(

46.Posted by marcymarc3469 on Jun 14 2009 at 15:55

47.Posted by trini_outlaw on Jun 28 2009 at 11:42
