So basically you put in the normal INTERNATIONAL disc, load your savegame and play the battle.. (with english sound

well.. there are alternatives for running game backups on your PS2 except modchips.. just google a bit and find out

Bom demais, a primeira versão q tive foi a americana, qdo descobri q não tinha os extras, baixei a internacional e fiquei na esperança de poder selecionar o som japonês, decepcionei-me quando vi q era em inglês. Agora posso sorrir novamente 
Estou em Calm Lands no momento, já terminei o grid de vários personagens, acho q estou bem avançado e não perdi nenhum prime ainda

The game freezes like you said when you go to fight sin 
Isn't there anyway to continue without getting the original japanese game

but Audio continues, hence am playing the game right this seconds, & this kinda ****py ..
but overall, do try fix this bug & perhaps, the duuds @ Sque-niX would go & add this MULTI-LANGUAGES features ..
I've DL'd the X-2, & XII, loving all ..

"patched" version is just the modder's own patched ISO which doesnt have any of the reported crashes.. enjoy!!

uhmm i have the international version.. im using PCSX2 emulator.. and its running slowly... can you give me some advice? the graphics was good, but the sound and animation are slow.. thanks

There has been a crash report, at the end of the game, it is claimed to freeze at the FMV where you go outside of the airship to go inside Sin.
THE ONLY KNOWN WORKAROUND TIL NOW IS TO DOWNLOAD/GET AN ORIGINAL FFX INTERNATIONAL ISO/DISK. SO GET THAT ONE TOO!!!!
