Isn't there any guitar for the PC .... Or is the PS3 & Xbox 306 guitar ...???

i burned using alcohol 120%, before I put the RMPS option on, and burn the image, and then pt the dvd in tray and still cant play, it says that is no authentic dvd. So I don't know what im doing wrong

sorry for double post, but it aint working.
i burned with the newest alcohol 120% using RMPS
i inserted disc and it says that the original disc cannot be found
i mount the image in alcohol 120% with emulation settings on RMPS and it still states the disc cannot be found

i tried having the disc inserted AND mounted. still no dice. please give clear, step by step instructions

I tried every different method described, both here and on TPB, to get this thing to run; went through almost a dozen DVDs trying to burn one that would work, and it still says "Original disc could not be found or authenticated."

Looks like I'll be waiting on a crack.

IT IS REAL AND WORKING! To get it working:

1.Download
2.Mount with DAEMON-TOOLS 4.06 (MUST BE 4.06)
3.Install
4.Run YASU cloaking
5.RUN GUITAR HERO 3!

Thanks IK_Gamex for posting that! It works! Make sure to download that version of daemon tools and follow the yasu links. Place the yasu.exe in the daemon tools directory then run it. Keep yasu running the background, then launch Gh3!

when installing the game if it can tell there is emulation it edits a file in the game.. because even if i dont have any emulation tools running it still says " Emulation/Virtual drive tools detected "

Meh really need a crack, I burnt with Alcohol with RMPS does not work, Daemons Tools + YASU did work but I no longer have the image and I'm not downloading it again! might try making a new image and using that.

Ok update. Got it working both ways. I can either run it from the alcohol burned cd and it'll play, or i can mount it using daemon tools 4.06 (yes there is a 64 bit version and it works) and it'll play. I've played through like half the game already. It's crazy.

1. Mount image with Alcohol 120 with RMPS enabled... not Daemon tools.
2. Install off mounted image.
3. Burn image to disk using alcohol 120 with RMPS enabled. (Must be a recent version of alcohol)
4. Disable Virtual disk used to mount image.
5. Run Game.

It work. I've tried on 2 PC and work.

Downloaded fine and fast for me. Heres my issues tho, don’t bother burning it to disc cause its unnecessary, just mount at, install it, then use the crack off HATRED. I too found that lefty flip is always on…cant seem to change it from default. This is the worst one for me… my PS2 to USB controller cant seem to figure out that I have a PS2 guitar plugged in, but even if it did, I cant see an option in GHIII for any sort of controller to be selected instead of using the keyboard.

heres how to get it to work, for all people who still havent got it to work yet

1. download this game
2. download the NEWEST alchohol 120
3. burn this with RMPS data
4. install the game
5. download the 1.1 patch
6. in alchohol enable the RMPS emu
7. in the NEWEST daemon, disable all drives and enable securom and RMPS
8. run guitar hero 3
9. eat a whole cake for celebration (optional)

WOW! I started this download 2 hours ago using Limewire as the client and ive already got 80% hahaha averaged 300kb/s lol Thanks seeders! If this works I will seed.I haven't tried to run it yet but I will post if I have any problems but usually I don't using alcohol 120% as I can even get Crysis to work and play on cracked servers.

icepho3nix, you need either an amd 64, or amd dual core with a 64bit core, or an intel dual core cpu.The game will not run otherwise.Some people have it running without meeting the minimum specs memory graphics card etc however, they most likely still have the required cpu.Thats why it runs.The kernels will not load with any less cpu it simply wont work.

To anyone who deleted the program folder and is having problems uninstalling, I had the same problem and had to fix it by installing GHIII on another pc then copying across all the folders I deleted. The uninstall seems to be entirely dependent on files in the program folder, which would also make it completely useless for removing a corrupted version of the game. Nice work Activision!

im sorry but guitar hero was just not meant to be played on the pc, it doesnt paly well at all, the specs are a joke, there higher than crysis for god sake, who ever the coders where gezz there usless. also you might aswell get it for ps3 xbox or ps2, at least you wont have silly lag, when your playing. Also it will want to speed up and then slow down. and yes i have a good system more than what its asking for, Core 2 quad, 8800ultra and 2gb of ddr 3 ram so go kiss my a?? to what ever plonker reply s back to this

solidsnake25, before you go off on one on a game, you should research

first, dont you find 4gb a bit big for a game with only 8 songs? just play though career and you will unlock them as you go (bonus songs can be bought in the shop)

the spec is high i know (its a 360 port), but if you look up at my comment, you will see that my comp (which is half as powerful as yours) runs it smooth on high settings, no lag at all

it should run better than it does on mine, and i have a pc half as powerful as yours, and it runs smooth with high settings without any lag, i even have custom songs and its still smooth

so please keep your opinion to yourself

but about the message: ''your video card does not support the game'' or ''you need the minimum system... etc'' & u r sure about your video card & your system if it was support the game or not.
all what you need about the message is to download the Microsot DirectX SDK 2007 (November) from: microsoft.com

after u install the program:
1-open the DiredtX control panel.
2-in the Direct3D 9 u'll c a many check box.
3-don't do anything with them just DON'T check the: ''Allow Hardware Acceleration'' box

after i do these steps the game works fine & cool without stupid message & problems

To use your PS2 controller, buy an EMS adapter, plug it in, download "Joy2Key" to configure the controls, and presto.

Soon I'm going to modify the game with the other 2 game song selections.

OK GUYS, before giving up try this: (I take that you already installed it)

You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO use this version of Daemon Tools though (4.06)

Mount the .mds (All emulations ON)
Download YASU 1.4.
Paste yasu.exe on Daemon Tools folder
Run Yasu, Cloak it
Double click on the drive that's being emulated and it will work.


Do not try to run the game from your computer coz it might be looking at the wrong drive and it will give you errors.
RUN THE GAME FROM THE EMULATED DRIVE.

alright TheTman i just installed this and it ran like a charm no lag or nothing and i only got the XFX 8600 which i only paid 70$ for


after it was done downloading i burnt it with powerISO as a image file but if u dont want to then just mount it with daemon tools then run the game to install it by double clicking the file.. after that just install it and i got a NO CD exe from game copy world but u do not need one.. this was one of the easiest games ive ever installed (if u get the no cd patch make sure u get 1.0 the other 1.1's dont work

hey i have downloaded the file and i burnt on a dvd with rmps using alchohol 120 and when it is installing they say that there is a error in copying new files when it reaches like half. could someone please help!

Ahahahah , what a funny world .... I'm gonna answer my own question , ANYONE with a RockBand Guitar can play this GUITAR HERO 3 on PC , You'll have to use a key emulator , plug your RB guitar ( USB ) in Your PC's USB port ( you need windows xbox360 controller driver installed - dw it from MS ).

After Pluggin the RB guitar in - it'll install it as a normal controller .

Use JOyToKey , to remap , then Startup GH3 in PC & play with your Rock Band controller . EnJOY ...

Ive spent an hour reading comments and havnt seen this problem.

installed the game fine, loads up but when i actually choose a song and start to load it, the game crashes says unknown error and must close, Im using windows vista 32bit. I downloaded the torrent. and patched it with the files of gamecopy world. loaded without any other software and crashes when loading song.

Oh I would liek to add that I know people who have PC's that cost something of 3 grand who can't play GH3 on PC. It even happens on a clean install with nothing else installed and totally striped down. Seems most the people who are unable to play are on some variant of Vista, so maybe disabling Aero from even loading at all in the start-up


Daemon Tools works even older versions of it, and the creators of it even say there is no speacial copyright protection in it. so if you can't get it to work, go back to the ****ie platforms known better as Peices of **** xBox, PS, and Definately the Wii!

download alcohol 120% and make sure you restart your computer:

go back into the GHIIIPC file and right click on the GHIII file (the biggest one)
then click on 'mount image'
(if you go into 'My Computer' you will see GHIII. you can start the game there

NEW INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN THIS TORRENT ARE OLD

1) Burn the image WITHOUT RMPS data(poweriso nero...). This was only needed because there was no crack avaliable.(i used dvdr)

2) Install from burn image.

3) Head on over to game copy world and download the latest update patch.(http://worthdownloading.com/game.php?gid=2690)

4) Then use the correct crack(from game copy world), currently "Guitar Hero III v1.31 [MULTI5] No-DVD/Fixed EXE" with the v1.31 update(you installed in step 3). Finally copy the crack into the guitar hero folder.(c:...program files...Aspyr...GHIII..)

5) Play!;_)

Got the game to play music at last.

Install the game, mounted will work.
I patched to v1.3 then used the crack for the same version.
I then installed Vista Codecs from here

Ran the game and i now have full sounds and playability.

why everytime that I play GH3, after I save (that's automatic), I quit and turn my pc off, then, when I enter in windowns again and go play GH3 again, the game say that the save is corrupted and need to be deleted....? I have updated to version 1.3.

to Nielsurd and anyobody else having the same problem (pushing fret keys, but not managing to play) you have to strum as you play, set a key for "strum up/down" and press that key every time you hit a fret, you only have to use one of the strum keys so dont worry about strumming up AND down.

easy mistake to make if you have never played this game before and are using a keyboard.

I can not believe all this sh..t i have benn reading all this time .It is very easy.
1.You can open the game with any programm (daemon tools or alcohol)it does not make a difference.
2.Just install the game and copy/paste the crack.
3.If it does not play it means your computer is not good enough(when i tried to play it on my old pc the game did not even start).(It plays well on an intel core duo 2,6GH nvidia 8600).
4.If you have problems playing with the keyboard follow my instructions.
5.Go to options and then keyboard configuration,there you will see there is a "strum up".Select the button you want to use for strum up and in the game you must push the button that appears and the same time you push the strum up button or you can push the button for example green a bit earlier and when it touches the green area you push the strum up button(i choose the space button for strum up it is easier).
I hope i have anwered to all your questions

Hey guys i have Successfully Downloaded and installed GHIII and it runs fine Now you guys dont need to listen to all this RMPS burn a DVD bull**** bcos its not needed here are the steps to get it running.
1. Mount image with Alcohol 120 with RMPS enabled... not Daemon tools.
2. Install off mounted image.
3. Disable Virtual disk used to mount image.
5. Go to www.gameburnworld.com and download the crack for GHIII in the "game fixes" menu on the left of website you find the alphabet letter "G" scroll down to GHIII and look for something like "Guitar hero 3 v1.0 [english] no dvd/fixed exe" after that you just need to copy and paste the contents of the crack into GHIII game directory and it should be fine.
6. ROCK YOUR FACE OFF WHILE NOONES HOME, JUMP UP AND DOWN ON YOUR BED WITH YOUR SHIRT OFF AND PLAY HARD GUYS
HOPE I COULD HELP GUYS TAKE IT EASY (PS GHIII guitar not needed you can either use guitar for PC or keyboard)

My actual issue is when I click the shortcut in the start menu with the disc in, the game does not boot from the disc. Now, if I have the game mounted, which I would normally do for most games, it loads up fine. I can't get the game to boot from the disc at all. Note that this was all done using Alcohol 120%. Any ideas? Normally I wouldn't care, but my PC is a little old (and therefore can be a little sluggish) when running ISO files from the HDD. I'm trying to see if running from the disc could possibly speed up performance enough to let me actually run the game.

And Takenover83, excellent up otherwise. The game runs perfect.
