Das Leben der Sch?lerinnen an der Lilian High School dreht sich um die so genannten Rosen, die Mitglieder der Sch?lervertretung Yamayurikai. Die Gelbe, die Rote und die Wei?e Rose haben die h?chste Stellung in der Hierarchie, danach kommen ihre Petites Soeurs, ihre kleinen Schwestern, die Gelbe, die Rote und die Wei?e Rosenknospe, die sie in ihrer Arbeit unterst?tzen.

Diese wiederum werden ebenfalls jeweils von einer kleinen Schwester unterst?tzt. Die Rosen, alles wundersch?ne M?dchen voller Grazie, werden von den Sch?lerinnen der High School wie Superstars verehrt, und es ist der Traum jeder Sch?lerin, einmal eine Petite Soeur zu werden und der Yamayurikai anzugeh?ren, doch dazu muss man erst von einer der Rosenknospen als Petite Soeur auserkoren werden.

Die aktuelle Rote Rosenknospe, Sachiko Ogasawara, hat noch keine Petite Soeur, und Yumi f?llt fast in Ohnmacht, als sie eines morgens von ihrem gro?en Idol angesprochen wird doch Sachiko will leider nur Yumis Halstuch zurechtr?cken, das verrutscht ist...

THE STORY:

The story revolves around the students of the Lillian Catholic school for girls. The school, which was founded in 1902 in Musashino, Tokyo, is depicted as an elegant, clean, pure and very prestigious school. The students are very respectable and in good standing. At the school there is a tradition known as the Soeur System (soeur being French for \"sister\"), in which a second- or third-year student, the grande soeur (\"big sister\"), will give her rosary to a junior student, the petite soeur (\"little sister\"), and promise to look after them and guide them. At the start of the story, new first-year student Yumi Fukuzawa is suddenly approached by the seemingly-cold second-year student Sachiko Ogasawara to be her petite soeur. This is the beginning of a beautiful Relationship between Yumi and Sachiko (More than a \"soeur\" relationship).

Aria (???, Aria?) is a science fiction manga by Kozue Amano (?? ???, Amano Kozue?). The series was originally titled Aqua (???, Aqua?) when it was published by Enix in the magazine Monthly Stencil, then retitled when it moved to Mag Garden\\\'s magazine Comic Blade.[5] Aqua was serialized in Stencil from 2001 to 2002 and collected in two tank?bon volumes. Aria was serialized in Comic Blade from November 2002 to April 2008 and collected in twelve volumes. The series has been adapted as an anime television series, with a first season broadcast in 2005, a second season in 2006, an OVA released September 2007, and a third season in 2008 that ended around the same time as the manga serialization.[6]

ADV Manga released English translations of the first three volumes of Aria in 2004, before dropping the license. Tokyopop then acquired the rights to publish the English translation of Aqua as well as Aria.[7][8] The Tokyopop editions of Aqua were published in October 2007 and February 2008, and the Tokyopop version of Aria volume one was published in January 2008.

In May 2008, The Right Stuf International announced that its Nozomi Entertainment imprint had licensed the Aria anime franchise for American and Canadian release. A box set including the first season of Aria the Animation is scheduled for release on September 30, 2008.
