Description:
This is some of good 'ol Leroy's greatest playing. He was always more explosive and free in a live setting, and this album proves just that. "Soul Dressing" is an excellent cover of the 1964 Booker T. song. "Sweet Honey Dew" is a fast R&B/blues ditty that sounds like Roy's song "Tribute to Elmore James". "Hey Joe" and "Blues Otani" are 2 great blues cuts. "Slow Down" and "My Baby Says She's Gonna Leave Me" are two thunderous blues/rock songs. "Lonely Days Lonely Nights" is a great soulful R&B number, and "Sweet Dreams" is the great blues/country closer with a very melancholy feel to it. All in all, this is a great way to get into Mr. Buchanan and a great addition to any collection.
