Amalthea was born around September of 96, the band is composed by Jose Velasco - Vocals & Guitar, Isabella - Female Vocals, Paco - Guitar, Arantxa - Piano & Keyboards, Ana - Violin, Victor - Bass and Kolomby - drums.
The band plays a very personal music where we try to mix the most classic, barroque and gothic from vocals, violins and keyboards with powerful music from guitars, and powerful rhytms from bass and drums, with a very melancholic and spiritual air, including sadness, melancholic and romantic lyrics, it is the style that amalthea developes.
Amalthea is an active & ambitious band, with fresh & news ideas, its powerful and contrasted live does one of the most interesting band from 1997.
Now amalthea is working very hard to go somewhere, we don't want to be stopped as other bands. It is a band with clear, creative and original ideas, we try that the live isn't monotonous, we develop a show to make that the music isn't only music, we want the people can feel the music easily.
