Description:
Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh is an album released by French progressive rock band Magma in 1973 (see 1973 in music). It is Magma's most famous and acclaimed record, although it was still not a big commercial success.
Concept
As with most of their albums, Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh is sung completely in their own fictional language, Kobaian. It continues to explain Christian Vander's visions about the supposedly bad future of the earth. In this case, the story of the prophet Nebehr Güdahtt. He tells the people of the earth that if they want to save themselves, they must work to cleanse themselves and sing the "Zeuhl Wortz" — the sacred Kobaian music — in worship of Kreuhn Kohrmahn, the Kobaian supreme being. The people of the earth don't believe this and start marching against him. But slowly, some people begin to believe him and start marching with him instead of against him.
