Description:
Afternoon Play: The Fall 26-03-2008
When Angela falls pregnant, she decides to track down the mother who left her when she was 12. By Clare Duffy.
Angela.......................Lucy Ellinson
The Voice....................Lucy Paterson
Jacqueline.................Noreen Leighton
Julie......................Natalie Bennett
Will.....................Michael Goldsmith
Derek.....................John Paul Hurley
Other parts played by members of the cast
Producer/Director Bruce Young
From The Radio Times
Falling in love, falling pregnant and falling apart has become the pattern of Angela's life. She's 20, living with her big sister, and struggling to come to terms with the truth surrounding their mother's departure when she was 12 - did she take off because of her mental health problems or because she couldn't stand living with her daughters? This frankly downbeat play-despite the upbeat accents, music and attempts at light relief-follows Angela (played by Lucy Ellison) as she tracks down her mother to an antiTrident protest outside Faslane. But the uncomfortable truth that her mother delivers leads her to jump rather than fall for the first time in her life.
