Description:
The closest thing to a concept album in the first years of the band's existence, "Love Gestures in Chloroform Juice" was conceived as an album that would spoof the love song. However, many of the tracks lost focus on even something that simple, and the end result is a scattershot mix of rather poorly executed songs, dashed with moments of pure genius.
"I'm Breaking Up With You, But I Have Even Worse News (and That's the Good News)" takes inspiration from the barbershop quartet to deliver a rather humorous song with an unforeseen twist. "Ex-Boyfriend Cologne", takes a straightforward rock song (that really has nothing to do with love), and injects it with random fart noises.. "Hey Katrina, You Flooded My Heart" should be a lame attempt at trying to blend love and natural disasters, but it just may be the simplest, catchiest song the band has ever recorded. And "If You Had Two Arms, the Answer Would be Yes", is the most autobiographical song ColdmaN5 has ever written, being based entirely on a true incident that took place while songwriter CheeseCoat McTafferson worked at a video store some years back.
Just like in life, you gotta take the bad with the good, and the rest of the tracks are pretty miserable. But hey, did you really expect to download GOOD music for free?!
