Description:
While I don't agree with Barbara Harbach's overrating of some women composers (she is herself one and specialized in publishing women composers' scores), nor with her hunting after academic distinctions, her recording is quite fascinating, especially as there are hardly any similar recordings available. The strong modulations often used in such galant style compositions produce some great effects and can be enjoyed also in this recording.
Very old library disc with a messed up cover. Had to restore the cover picture, not too successfully, with parts of a small, extremely blurred picture found on the Internet. But the portrait depicts her properly. Maybe someone got the original cover?
BTW, the booklet lists 17 tracks, but even the original CD only got 6 tracks. It's not a faulty rip.
