1. Install bitDefender as a trial and reboot and continue trial [create account later if asked]
2. Disconnect from Internet
3. Go to "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc"
4. Right click "hosts" > Uncheck "Read Only". (if using Vista give yourself full control)
5. Open with Notepad/Word Pad.
6. Add "127.0.0.1 update.bitdefender.com" after "127.0.0.1 localhost"
7. Remain disconnected from the internet and register with one of the above serials.
8. Reconnect to the internet and update program [license should be good for 3650 days or 10 years]
