Description:

First download and run the install of Net Framework 1.1 from here (22mb) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3 if you don't already have it installed. This is needed for Torrent Harvester 0.6b to run correctly.
This program works great and searches around 100 torrent sites and returns results to one list. This eliminates the need to search around different torrent sites on the net. It has the option to add more sites in, along with private torrent sites that youcan enter your username and password in to access. It also starts the torrent directly in your torrent client from right click. It can also search files on IRC channels and cracks engines.
Please seed this for awhile if you like it, since it is such a small download.

Torrent Harvester is a program which will perform a search for Torrents on multiple websites returning all results in a single list. Just enter some text to search on, press enter or click the search button and the list will fill with torrents found. Right clicking a torrent in the list will bring up a menu to download the torrent. The menu is variable, but it usually contains a "Details" option which will launch the web page containing the torrent details from where you can download the torrent, or a "Download" option which will automatically download the torrent and launch it. Note: you must have a torrent client installed for the download option to work.
I know the program is called Torrent Harvester, but what the hell, I've included a few non-torrent engines. The IRC engines perform searches for files on the IRC network. Right clicking on a file brought back from and IRC search will provide two menu options. "Visit Channel" will launch your IRC client in the relevant channel where the file originated and will put the relevant command to download the file into your clipboard. Just choose "Visit Channel" and when you are in the channel paste from the clipboard which will request the file. Alternatively you could choose the "Launch AutoXDCC" option which will create an XDCC file and launch it, but you will need to have AutoXDCC installed, or an equivalent client (don't know if there are any).
When choosing which engines to search on in the settings dialog, if an engine requires a login, you will be asked for the login username and password when checking the engine. After supplying these, a validation is performed to ensure that the login credentials are correct. The engine can only be checked if correct login credentials are supplied. The username and password supplied are not stored, however, the login cookie returned by the login page is stored (encrypted) in the registry so that login credentials are only required once.
There is an integrated preliminary Engine Designer which will allow you to edit existing engines and add new engines in the future. I will be adding a tutorial in the future as, although the engine is complete, it can be difficult to create new engines (and I'll assume practically impossible without instructions/tutorials).

I may enhance Torrent Harvester or add additional engines if there is a demand, future possibilities (this list keeps getting smaller and then someone thinks of something new) in no particular order:
* Automatic engine updates
* Engine Designer help/tutorial (I'd avoid the designer unless ya don't mind fiddling about or are astute enough to figure out what is going on)
* Additional Engines
* Advanced search filtering on any column, for example (min seeds, earliest date, category, etc.)
* Limiting returned results per engine
* Prioritising engines (so favourite engines are searched first)
* Hideable search progress list showing the search progress on each individual engine
* Limit number of search results per engine
* Support for "Latest" Torrent Engines
* Optionally retrieve login info from system cookies (bypassing need to supply login info)
* Create a master category list for translating the many categories from differing engines
* Add engine type, e.g., General, Anime, Music, Porn (maybe already catered for in the engine categories)
* Anything else I can think of when I'm bored
Comments & Suggestions are welcome on TorrentHarvester@yahoo.com, please give some feedback on whether Torrent Harvester is useful or possible enhancements, improvements, it helps the motivation when I can be bothered to update Torrent Harvester.
