Description:

The Sin Committee - Confess (2009)
The Sin Committee (TSC) is a progressive metal quartet from the Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in whose music influences can be heard from bands such as Tool, Mastodon, Opeth en System of a Down. Characteristic for the music of TSC are the non-standard song structures and dynamics between melodic parts with clean vocals and more brutal sections with grunting. For their new EP "Confess" the band worked with producer Erwin Hermsen of Toneshed Recording. Confess was released on March 2009 and was really well received by both the Dutch and international press. With a strong EP in their pocket and lots of positive reviews, the gentlemen of TSC mean business. Their aim is simple: to take the band to the next level and do what they do best: playing energetic live shows.

Fans of progressive metal definitely need to hear this EP.

Tempelores
The band is currently unsigned, but I would say this EP opens doors for them.

Zwaremetalen
Hurray for the EP of our own Dutch The Sin Committee with its beautiful artwork and kick-ass songs!

Musikansich.de
I can't name the best song of the record as all five songs are of the same high calibre and make me really looking forward to a complete album of the Dutchman!

Hardkerne.de
The guys from TSC have really recorded one cool disc.

Teeth of the Divine
The songs are hummably melodic and catchy, yet rip-your-face-off heavy in places. It’s just one hell of a good EP

Metalfanatix
I wouldn't be surprised to see a record label grab these guys for their roster.

Heavymetal Heaven
an impressive piece of work that The Sin Committee offers

With Confess the band delivers a strong record with tons of diversity and strong song-progressions.

Metal Territory
One hopes that they sign the right deal, which, on this evidence is just around the corner.
