Description:
Astronomycast Episode 136 - Gamma Ray Astronomy.
Presented by Fraser Cain and Dr Pamela Gay
In their own words......
Astronomy Cast takes a fact based journey through the cosmos as it offers listeners weekly discussions on astronomical topics ranging from planets to cosmology. Hosted by Fraser Cain (Universe Today) and Dr. Pamela L. Gay (SIUE), this show brings the questions of an avid astronomy lover direct to an astronomer. Together Fraser and Pamela explore what is known and being discovered about the universe around us.
In my words.....
Astronomycast is my favourite podcast in the world. Having a life long strictly amateur interest in astronomy and cosmology I find the show informative, upfront and many times mind blowing. The best thing about Astronomycast is that it doesn't shy away from complex subjects but manages to get the information across in a clear and concise way. It is often intellectually challenging as opposed to being watered down so as not to confuse the less interested sections of the audience. Plenty of times I have listened to shows two or three times just to make sure I get every last drop of information out of it. Sometimes I close my eyes and try and imagine the things they talk about and the roof of my head blows off.
Every single show is archived at their website astronomycast.com and all the links for subscribing through your podcasting software are there too.
Episode 136 is a particularly good recent episode, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
