Description:

The October 13th edition of the free-to-read, interactive online gaming magazine Thirteen1 is available now, packed with the latest previews, reviews, interviews and exclusive giveaways!

The scariest time of the year is almost here, with Halloween and it's ghostly ghouls waiting to scare the wits out of us on October 31st. To keep in with the theme, we braved the often depraved inter-web and went in search of the most fittingly scary browser-based game available – and we found it, in Jagged Blade Soft's new zombie-blasting MMORPG, Dead Frontier!
Be sure to check out the review and get yourself some quality, free-to-play Halloween action now.

Not content with finding one of the web's best horror titles, we decided to further the celebration with a run down of the 13 Scariest Moments in Gaming, EVER! What has made us fill our pants the most while playing a game; was it the freaky Alma from F.E.A.R? The surgeon's shadow from BioShock? Or even the music of death as Sonic starts to drown underwater?..
To be honest, the answer is so obvious that you'll kick yourself if you haven't already guessed it!

It's not all scares though, with plenty of other games popping up throughout the month to sink our teeth into. We send Paddy into the Greek-inspired GodsWar online to chat with some gods and battle for ancient cities, take a careful tour around the gun-toting saloons of one of the only Western MMORPG's available, The West, and prevent a “creeper” from taking over the world in the ridiculously good indie-RTS Creeper World.

Throw in a good old MMORPG flight session with Aion, some 2D brawler action with King of Fighters XII, a follow up article with the guys behind Evony (our last one was rather controversial..oops!), a look at iPhone game Hattrick (Spring Loaded Soccer), a brand new hardware section and a build up to one of Britain's must-attend gaming event, The Best of British, and you have a cracking October issue of Thirteen1 to feast your eyes upon.

Comps and Giveaways
We've searched high and low to bring you some top quality giveaways this month.

There are some absolutely awesome (we can't stress that enough), top-of-the-range Sharkoon Xtatic headphones to be won – we've even reviewed them for you too, just incase you need to know how good they sound before entering the free competition.

We also bring you the awesome Retro gaming giveaway once again, along with loads of other in-game goodies to win – including GodsWar Online, Jolt Online's sublime Legends of Zorks and €100 worth of goodness for InnoGame's The West.

Enjoy the issue!
