Maps and Legends EP in 320kbps CBR MP3.
Maps and Legends are an alternative rock band formed in Bristol, UK back in October 2009. Each member of the band met at University and we went on to win the UWE Battle of The Bands, earning us a management contract.
After playing many venues around Bristol and a few festivals, Maps and Legends have released their 6 song self titled EP. The EP displays the
bands love for blending thought provoking lyrics with a unique melodic voice, coupled with at times intense instrumentation.
Here is a mini review of the EP:
Antistar is a rousing starter, intent on making sure you are sat up and listening. Caught calms things down with the band displaying their more melodic poppy side, which contrasts with Storms Across The Bay driving rhythm and soaring chorus. Arrows displays the bands love of experimentation within a pop structure, with reverse guitars and off kilter drumming. Inside A Circle calms the EP down with a nostalgic look back, before breaking into a epic chorus and fist pumping breakdown. To finish the EP off, Curtain Call is a shifting beast of different dynamics and feelings, displaying the bands ability to shape and twist a song.
Maps and Legends have released their debut EP to MiniNova as to reach a larger audience who will hopefully enjoy the music. Physical copies will be available to purchase in late September.
