Description:
Born (2-17-1981) and raised in Bremen, Lea Finn is drawn to performing on stage at an early age. At 15 she is lead singer in a “nirvana-cover-band” (“it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately my voice didn’t work for those kinds of songs..”).
At the age of 16 she wins a prize and is voted “Kuschelstimme des Jahres 1997” of the Magazine “Kuschelrock”. A Jazz-Funk-Band, a “Deutschrock”-Combo and a Live-Project presenting witty 20ies and early 50ies songs follow. Boundless creativity and a strong will to achieve her goal are what drive Lea Finn to go on.
After graduation in 2000 she starts University majoring in German Studies. At the same time she keeps growing musically, sings in the studio as well as with different bands. She finally finds her “musical-homeland” and starts recording a demo-tape with a small team in Hamburg which also gets the attention of the record label “edel records”.
Lea Finn signs her first record deal after “by the way” winning a well known contest in Bremen with her band in 2002 ...
