The Perfect Wife Story Synopsis
Yue Liang Liang (Zoe Tay) was a fashion writer with a women’s magazine before giving it up for marriage and family life. Nevertheless, she continues writing a regular column on the latest gossip and her thoughts about everything in life.
Liang Liang’s husband, Chen Guoqing (Edmund Chen) is a typical male chauvinist. She also has a close girlfriend Chantel (Hong Huifang), a man-hating, affluent socialite-divorcee. Both of them are emotionally reliant on Liang Liang, and are constantly demanding her full attention. Thus, Guoqing and Chantel view each other as mortal enemies.
Guoqing’s eldest brother Guoqiang (Zhang Wenxiang), a longwinded fried kway teow seller, decides to move his wife (Constance Song) and daughter into Guoqing’s detached house in order to enroll his daughter in nearby prestigious school. Thus, their father (Liang Tian), who refuses to acknowledge the fact that he is old, often visits them with his pet dog. From then onwards, Liang Liang and Guoqing’s peaceful family life is interrupted. But even though they have lost serenity, their lives are no longer as mundane and predictable. There is a newfound sense of vibrancy and excitement, spicing up things like never before!
