The Deviant were formed in 2002/2003 by members of 122 Stab Wounds (which in its turn was formed by members from Agony (Nor)) and Gehenna (Nor).
They released the 5-song demo Intimate Skinning in 2004. Dolgar did vocals on this demo (E.N. Death was assigned to bass on this release), but was replaced by Sanrabb who joined on vocals and bass, before rejoining Gehenna (Nor). Dolgar was re-recruited for bass and vocal duties, and they subsequently recorded their debut album. A video was made for the song 'Venom of Mankind'.
